The one I'd like to put on layaway. The one I actually want. Is Dream of Doll Tender Bee-A. I'd want her to be second hand, though, because with the big dolls second hand ones are easier for me to love. She could even have a few stains. Wendy-doll has those, and they don't take from her at all.

But yes. A pretty little Bee-A with dreamy eyes and that neat little body that was so pretty. I've liked them since I first saw them, and liked them even more after I actually got to see one and play with her.

Maybe someday....

XD whoops?

I'm going to have to buy a wig, and eyes, and all that stuff for the Innuendo. The lady at the shop says that most of them are coming in with brown eyes :p And they don't carry a wig like the one in her prototype photo.

I suppose fake fur would work for Brenda. Her teenage version has kind of short spikyish hair. But the thought of buying eyes... well, it's something new, so I look at it like a sheep looks at a new thing. Feet braced and eyes wide with eeeeeek. I don't know anything about buying eyes. Except that they don't always look the same in a picture as in RL. I don't have money to spend on a bunch of eyes that are wrong.

eeeeeeeek eek.

Wow, look at that molehill grow. lol

Big ones and smaller ones.

The big ones are about standard height, with a much prettier face than those that most Domuya dolls have. She fascinates me even though I'm not into thin, long legged dolls or ones that skinny. I think that if I had the money that I would buy her just to explore, and then pass her on to one of my friends, as I often do with less expensive dolls.

The small ones are also very pretty, though the one with the strong jaw shouldn't wear short frilly outfits like that one they show her in. It makes her look like a drag queen. A face like that needs classy clothes. The molded on shoes that one can buy for them are quite interesting to me.

The breasts for both sizes are much more realistic than most ABJD breasts, though seeing the pretty 'natural' ones next to those poor skinny ribs is distressing.

*grabby hands* Don't wanna own, but REALLY wanna play! XD

Yay

I sent in another MO to DDE today. As soon as they get it and process it I will have Brenda (Goodreau Innuendo) nearly all paid off!

I'm really starting to look forward to seeing her. I hope they come in soon.

Still liking Ophelia. Been playing mostly with Molly and Dot lately.

I think she's nearing completion.

The boots were surprisingly easy to put on her (thank You, Jesus!) once I worked out how the funny little separate knee things went on. And I got her headcap off by cutting the little piece of elastic that it had been tied to the ring with. Being able to tug on her elastics helped much with the changing. Then I just tied them in a knot and hot glued her headcap back on.

The clothes seem to me what a cat might like. Simple and not too much so as to prevent overheating with the fur. And the colours? I have no idea, but they fit her, I think.

The next step? Perhaps taking her tail off her default dress and fixing it to her butt somehow. We'll see.

Dolly woe

This morning I decided to hot glue suede Ophelia and switch one of her hands to a fist.

Well, I couldn't get the other hand on. Not having fishline, I was trying three strands of embroidery cotton. No dice. It looks like I'm going to have to go out and buy a whole spool of fishline if I want to put a hand back on her.

She holds her head better now, but even with the glue her legs are still difficult. And I can see that the glue will probably need pretty frequent reapplication.

*Sigh* I'm starting to think that she's too much doll for me. :(

But I WANT her. She's named for my kitty that died.

Jesus, I don't know what to do. Hobbies aren't supposed to cause stress.

The mail lady called bright and early this morning.

She's a kicky, squirmy little thing. But she meets my minimum criterion of being able to sit up and stand on her own. Her legs are wired, but she still twitches and suchlike. I'm not sure if it's safe to have her clothes on her before she gets coated with Dullcoat, and I'm looking at how she's put together and trying to think if I would be able to coat her without taking her apart. Because with those tiny fishline loops on her hands n feet I'm not sure I could get her back together. Her head I'm a little more confident about... but I'm trying to just approach her slowly so that I don't get overwhelmed like I did with that big Obitsu that I had.

Erm, am I a grouch if I admit that I don't really see what all the fuss is about? Don't get me wrong, she's beautiful and tiny and I like her muchly- muchly, but BJD still don't hit me as the ultimate doll.

LOL, but I can so see her becoming the family cat. She's the right size in relation to everyone else and all that. So the cat walks upright and wears clothes, so do a lot of teddy bears.

I don't know if I'm going to paint her at all. The cat I loved was white on hot days. This one is tentatively named after her for now. Feely-cat.

Wow, now I find that I miss Ophelia.

It's this beauty, but she's not saying she needs to be mine. A good friend of mine heard her too, and the both of us recognized the voice in our imaginations. lol. It's her Sal, a snappy girl from Newfoundland who's gone through some incredible adventures. I'm not a BJD fan at all, but this doll... I'll be proud to be her aunt.

Thanks, Jesus.
